Why Visit Petit Jean Mountain?

Just voted number one State Park for RV/Camping from USA Today, the oldest park in the Natural State makes for the perfect family getaway! Enjoy 3,471 acres packed with natural beauty and historic gems.

There are plenty of places to stay here including cabins, yurts, traditional tent camping and RV hook ups! We may be a little bias as we swoon over Beaumont Cottages. Three brand new a-frames tower over the south brow with a majestic view that feels more like a real life painting. Book here!

Our Top trails include Cedar falls, Seven    Hollows and Bear Cave. See the pride of Petit Jean State Park, a 95ft waterfall up close in person with a 2 mile hike leading you straight into the grotto. Seven Hollows includes an impressive natural archway made naturally from rock. Bear Cave, a shorter walk, is an easy adventure for those who aren't quite up for a hike but want to see impressive rock formations up close! It possible to find something new every time you come to visit!

Some of our other favorite spots are ones that feature rich history. Navigate the ancient turtle rocks to arrive at Rock House Cave, home to petroglyphs dating over 1,200 years old! Explore Pioneer cabin and see how early settlers lived. Petit Jean is also a certified Trail of Tears National Historic Site.

Looking for a family event? Consider a trail ride by horse with Barnyard Friends and Stables! Petit Jean also has an impressive collection of vintage cars at the Automobile Museum. Perhaps a paddle boat rental and easy fishing would peak your interest at Bailey lake! A great starting place is the brand new visitors centers with lots of engaging activates to get you aquatinted with the park!

When you're ready for a pick me up or want to grab a quick bite to eat check out this darling spot Petit Jean Coffeehouse! Choose from a wide variety of coffee, tea, and decadent treats!

You can find breath taking views at every end of the park, which also make for the perfect photo opportunity! Pictured Below is Stouts Point, home to "the gravesite"! Why is this important? You can read all about the intriguing history of Petit Jean Mountain, here!
